The Virginia tickets & upcoming events

If you’re into lively events and a bit of local charm, The Virginia in Kentucky is kinda the place to check out. Nestled in Somerset, this spot has become a hub for all sorts of fun. Did you know it hosts Kentucky’s biggest recurring autumn fair, which started back in the mid-2010s? It’s true. And if you’re into racing or wild crowds, the 2018 Kentucky State Fair’s demolition derby was a real hit, drawing over 8,000 people who probably left with a few dents and a lot of adrenaline. Plus, The Virginia has been holding the Kentucky State Chess Championships every winter since 2006, which is pretty cool for anyone into strategic thinking or just watching folks checkmate each other. And let’s not forget the Louisville comic convention that packed over 25,000 fans into the place, all geeking out over cosplay contests and panels like it’s Comic-Con on steroids. The venue offers private boxes for those who want VIP treatment and a grassy area perfect for families looking to chill out without the noise. Getting there is pretty straightforward, just head north from the cultural center, turn right onto the main street, or follow signs from the east toward Virginia Avenue. Whether you’re a concert junkie or just looking for a fun group outing, The Virginia in Somerset has got you covered with group discounts, a slick interactive seating chart, and a vibe that makes every event memorable.
